HI!! Welcome to this space- I am so happy that you found yourself here! My name is Rebecca Payne, and I'm a birth doula here in Denver, Colorado. I believe birth is not just something that happens TO you- but a full connection of mind, body, and soul. I chose the name 'sage & onyx' for this exact reason. Creating an environment where you feel powerful, confident, and safe is at the top of my priority list. Nature and intention are incredibly important in all things, and this is only heightened when bringing new life into this world. My goal is to open a space for us to connect to your inner power, set your labor and delivery intentions, and leave with a memory of your birth that is nothing less than golden.

 

SAGE originates from the Latin word salvia, a Latin verb meaning “to feel well and healthy or to heal.” It’s a healing herb which has been used since ancient times to increase fertility, dispel negative influences, ward off evil and much more. The Romans even called it a “holy herb” and they included it in many of there religious practices.

The ONYX is a stone that offers its bearer immensely powerful vibrations of protection, willpower, focus and strength. It activates your root and solar plexus, as well as your third eye chakras. This can aid us in being able to fully ground ourselves to the earth.
